Propaganda Maps



Propaganda maps are used as methods of persuasion. These maps are used to convey different ideas or spur certain emotions for the viewer. Furthermore, it shows how the cartographer views the map, not how the map is suppose to realistically look. For example, in this English version of a Spanish language map, it shows Britain’s perception of Europe at the beginning of the war. However, at the bottom of the map it shows it shows Britain’s disappoint in events leading after the following year.
