DOQQ stands for Digital Orthographic Quarter-Quads. DOQQ is
similar to an areal photograph that has been orthorectified and georeferenced.
In simpler terms, DOQQ takes image qualities of an areal photograph and
combines it with the geometric characteristics of a map. The orthoretication takes out distortion of
areal photos and generates it into flat maps.
