Choropleth maps

Choropleth maps show areal data.  As a large entity of maps, areal divisions are made typically through boundaries such as counties, states, and census tracts. In some cases, choropleth map data have been aerially averaged by using either density or percentages.  In most cases it is better to use areal averages because so that the components in the map can be compared.
